Strategy:

The Idea

To create an app that allows architecture enthusiasts and local explorers see how historic buildings have changed over time. The solution, to create simple illustrations overlayed onto the camera using augmented reality technology.

Illustrations

Using Boscome, UK as an initial case study, I created architectural illustrations using historical records and references. The simple, elegant nature of the illustrations prioritises portraying how the buildings overall form has changed over the years, rather than precise details.

Wireframing

A user flow was created and wireframes developed map the user's journey through the app. Profile features, map integration and in-depth information pages were developed. Directional AR was designed to help users find their destination easier, and keep consumers engaged with the app for longer.

User Interface

The UI was designed to be intuitive, contemporary and bring the historic imagery to the forefront.
